Environment

Central Goldfields Shire recognise the values of the natural environment.

For this reason Council has established a number of programs to protect the environment, save water and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Environmental management programs are implemented with appreciation for the environmental, social and economic values recognised in the Shire, and with recognition of relevant legislation and the Regional Catchment Strategy.
